The Role

  • Full time position working within our busy production department.
  • Undertaking one or more tasks, including operating woodworking CNC machines, cabinet assembly, door assembly, glass cutting and product picking.
  • Reading job sheets to carry out the required work.
  • Ensuring the products are manufactured to the expected high standard.
  • Working to scheduled production dates and delivery dates.
  • The successful candidate will be provided with necessary training.

As a result of this ongoing growth, we are looking to recruit a Furniture Production Operative to join our Production Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established and expanding business, where you will play a hands on role in the manufacture of our furniture ranges and contribute to maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

The Role

  • Loading and unloading of orders onto/off the delivery vehicles.
  • Driving professionally equipped 3.5 Tonne vans.
  • Ensuring that our products are delivered to our customers in perfect condition.
  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with all customers on your delivery routes. Both trade customers and end users.
  • Ensuring that delivery documentation is signed/receipted upon delivery.
  • Ensuring that you play your part in looking after our delivery vehicle fleet i.e. cleanliness, damage control and reporting, legal compliance.
  • Basically you are responsible for all undertaking duties expected of a Professional Driver.

The Candidate

  • Minimum - 2 years experience as a multi-drop delivery driver. (Required)
  • Maximum - 6 penalty points on your Driving Licence which must not include convictions for dangerous/hazardous driving and similar offences. (Required)
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and efficient approach required.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening)
  • Results-driven personality.
  • Able to multitask in a dynamic environment while still paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry out loading/unloading duties which will include lifting/carrying of products.

The role is varied and demanding where a flexible “can-do” attitude, pro-active and motivated approach is essential. You will be working within a small highly motivated and professional Transport Team delivering Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms to our customers throughout England and Wales. Experience of working on your own initiative, servicing multi drop order deliveries.
